Bright lights Winter Festival – February 10

Formerly known as Winterfest, our annual Winter Festival is back and better than ever. Join us on February 10 at the Westgate Hall for Bright Lights!

First things first, with the baseball diamond construction complete we’re happy to announce that fireworks are back.

A new addition to this years festivities the Chinatown Community Association will be joining us on site to celebrate the Lunar New Year. As part of the events there will be a traditional Lion Dance performed at 6:30. A complete list of everything planned for Bright Lights is listed below.

When:  Saturday, February 10, 2024  4:30-7:30 pm

Where: The Westgate Community Association – 4943 8 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T3C 3V4

Who: Westgate residents, friends and family are all invited to attend this family friendly event.  Admission is free to all.

As much as we love them, dogs are not permitted. We kindly ask that you leave your pets at home.

What you can expect:  

• Free admission
• Horse-drawn wagon rides
  • rides will load in the Westgate Community Hall parking lot and travel along the roadways. 5-6 tours will be offered between 4:30 and 6:30 pm and are first come first served.
• Fire pits & S’mores 
• Lion Dance at 6:30
• Fireworks at 7:00 pm
• Free hot chocolate
• Food vendors
• Crafts
• Outdoor ice rink
• Door prize – Find your ticket to enter in the January WCA Newsletter 

Things to note:  

• Due to the wagon rides there will be No Parking available in the community lot. 
• All City of Calgary Bylaws must be observed, No pets and No alcohol.
