PICKLEBALL!

DID YOU KNOW!?!The Westgate Community Board has recently approved the install of Pickleball lines onto our arena as well as the purchase of two professional Pickleball nets for the community use.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED?

Currently the nets for Pickleball are being stored at the Westgate Community Center. Please get in touch with the Hall Manager to get access to the nets.

We are in the process of making accesses cards available for purchase to existing Westgate Community Members. Passes will grant access to the storage/bathroom area for a 1 year time period and will be limited to use between 8am-10pm daily.

With regards to additional equipment players will need to purchase their own Pickleball paddle and ball(s). These are available at most sporting goods stores and places like Canadian Tire. Prices for paddles vary from $20-150.

IS THEIR A LEAGUE/TOURNAMENT/LEARN TO PLAY EVENT?

Nothing is currently planned for the 2021 calendar year/Pickleball season. The Westgate Community Board – Sports Committee would like to put together an event for the 2022 season and we ask member to check the website for an announcement in the Spring of 2022.
