Pickleball
Westgate has two Pickleball courts and equipment that will be available for rent starting in mid May. We’ll be launching a Pickleball Pass and rental program making it easier for community members to access the equipment and courts. Want to learn more? Low Impact Fitness – Fun & Functional
Mondays & Wednesdays 9:30 – 10:30am (September 2024 – June 2025)
This is a moderately paced class including low-impact cardio, strength training and balance exercises for a functional and fun workout. This is primarily a standing class and is suitable for anyone looking for a full body workout without impact. No floor exercises.
Recuperating from an operation/illness? This is a great way to get back in shape.
$7 drop in /class

This is a slow-paced exercise class focusing on functional movements, fall prevention and strength
exercises. Primarily a seated class.

Special Events
Pickleball Open House
Sunday, May 4| 1 – 3 pm
Drop by the hall on May 4th to learn more about Pickleball and how to access the equipment and courts at the Westgate Community Hall. We’ll have a court set up in the main hall and will offer a mix of instructional direction as well as the opportunity for short scrimmages. Interested community members will also be able to register for the new WCA Pickleball pass to get unlimited access to the Pickleball equipment from late May to September. Seedling Exchange
Saturday May, 17th | 9am – 12pm
Calling all Westgate green thumbs! We’ll be at hosting our first annual seedling exchange at the hall on May 17th from 9-12. Admission is free, bring any extra seedlings you may have and trade with your neighbours. If you have any questions reach out to community.garden@westgatecommunity.ca
Parade of Garage Sales
Saturday May, 24th | 9am – 4pm
The Parade of Garage Sales comes back to Westgate on May 24th. If you’d like to host a garage sale submit your request to George Costa (george@geocosta.com) by May 14th in order to receive your free garage sale kit.
Maps will be available for pick up at the WCA Hall on May 24th so you can check out all the local offerings.
WCA Casino

We’ll be back at Cowboys Casino this year and require volunteers to fulfill our commitment. Participating in casinos is a critical way to raise a significant amount of funds for our community.
