Winterfest is Back!

Winterfest is back and it’s going to be the best one yet! Join us for some classic winter fun, fireworks and a few Winterfest firsts such as wagon rides as well as soccer courtesy of the unseasonably warm weather. 

We’ve put together all the important info you’ll want to know so you don’t miss anything at Winterfest.

When:  Saturday, February 12, 2022    4:30-7:30 pm

Where: The Westgate Community Association ice rink and outdoor gatherings areas.

Who: Westgate residents, friends and family from neighbouring communities are all invited to attend this family friendly event.  Admission is free to all.

What you can expect:  

• Free admission
• Ice skating
• Curling
• Children’s soccer
• Horse-drawn wagon rides
  • rides will load in the Westgate Community Hall parking lot and travel along the roadways. 5-6 tours will be offered between 4:30 and 6:30 pm and are based on a first come first served basis.
• D.J. entertainment and lights
• Fire pits
• Fireworks at 7:00 pm sharp, 
• Free hot chocolate
• $1 Concession items: hot dogs, popcorn, chips and treats

Things to note: 

• Door Prizes are limited to one entry per person. 
• Due to the wagon rides there will be No Parking available in the community lot. 
• Access to washrooms will be limited to the two units located by the soccer equipment room (East side of building beside the field).
• All City of Calgary Bylaws must be observed, No pets and No alcohol.
• All Covid19 protocols in place at the time of event will be adhered to.
