Light Up Your Neighbourhood: Join the Holiday Lights of Westgate Stroll!

Each December homes in Westgate get decked out for the holidays. A tradition of sharing pictures of festive displays on the Westgate facebook page was started a few years ago. This year we’re taking people off their screens and in to the streets with our Holiday Lights Stroll.

Participation is easy:

• Register your display by December 1st: Want to show off your festive display? Email Jessica.B@westgatecommunity.ca to secure your place on the Holiday Stroll Map.
• Pick Up Maps on December 8th: Grab your Holiday Stroll Map on December 8th from 5-9pm at the Westgate Community Hall  (4943 8 Ave SW)
• Follow the map and enjoy!: At your leisure walk around our neighbourhood and discover as many great holiday displays as you can

What else have we got planned?

On December 8 from 5-9pm pick up your map from the hall and stay for some festive community spirit! We’ll have:

• hot chocolate
• cookies
• Christmas music
• A kids craft table

Donations for the Calgary Food Bank will also be accepted during map pick-up. Canned goods, hygiene products, pet supplies, kids birthday decorations and baby items are all in high demand right now. The Calgary Food Bank Wish List is also a good place to see what is needed. As always, follow the food bank’s guide lines and only donate new, non-perishable, undamaged goods.
